Jersey City Distributing Free Biodegradable Leaf Bags for Fall

The Jersey City Incinerator Authority (JCIA) is distributing free biodegradable leaf bags at a number of city parks beginning this weekend, and the city will also be giving them away at two locations beginning Monday. The city urges all residents to not use plastic bags to dispose of leaves.

The National Trust for Historic Preservation (NTHP) has selected the Embankment Preservation Coalition from 250 entrants for its "This Place Matters" Community Challenge. One hundred projects were chosen to compete for three top prizes of $25,000, $10,000, or $5,000. You can help the Embankment Preservation Coalition win a prize by giving them your vote!

Harsimus Cove is a historic neighborhood located in the heart of downtown Jersey City.  The Harsimus Cove Assocation (HCA) was formed in 1999 to provide a forum and a voice for residents within our boundaries.

On this website you will find useful information about the neighborhood such as a directory if neighborhood business, a brief history and photos both recent and old.  Announcements, association meeting notifications and Information about association including notification of meetings, officers and initiatives.
