HCA General Meeting

It's time for the Harsimus Cove Association's monthly general meeting! Join us on Wednesday, September 15 to voice your own concerns and ideas about any number of local issues (including neighborhood safety, current events, city government, public services and more).

WHEN: Wednesday at 7:30pm

WHERE: The Villa Borinquen Community Room on the corner of Manila Avenue (Grove Street) and 2nd Street - Go through the gate behind the fountain entrance)

On the agenda are details about two upcoming events—the Harsimus Cove Historic Walking Tour and Halloween Block Party/Parade.

We'll also be discussing last month’s Transfer of Development Rights public outreach sessions conducted by the Jersey City Planning Division, updates on neighborhood crime and the status of the Embankment.

 Our guest speaker this month will be Eileen Markenstein, president of the board of trustees of the Historic Jersey City and Harsimus Cemetery. She'll talk about the historic significance and ongoing preservation and programming efforts to restore this 180-year old gem in our neighborhood, a 6-acre sanctuary of peace and unique history that is one of the most beautiful natural settings in Jersey City.
